new lamborghini gallardo 2011
German media quoted as saying by the weekly, Automobilwoche, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lamborghini Stephan Winkelmann said the company applied the hybrid engine in the Gallardo LP560-4 platform. Lamborghini's first product of this new hybrid could be seen in 2015.

From the data obtained, the Lamborghini Gallardo V10 engine will carry a hybrid or a V12, using an electric motor at low speeds, such as roads in urban areas. In addition, the machines used can not be the same as a hybrid application tested in Formula 1 racing car, designed to provide a thrust force at a specified time.

Lamborghini Gallardo moved with green technology, one might be inspired by his rival, Ferrari. Manufacturers berlambang Prancing Horse car from Italy was already developing a hybrid system. The plan, in 2015 this car will be introduced to the public.

Lamborghini Murcielago

The Lamborghini Murciélago is a high-performance two-door, two-seat sports car produced by Italian automaker Lamborghini. Often referred to as a supercar, it is powered by a recent evolution of the Lamborghini V12 engine, and is the flagship of the automaker's lineup. The Murciélago was introduced as a coupé in 2001 for the 2002 model year, succeeding the famed Diablo supercar in Lamborghini's lineup. The car was the automaker's first new design in eleven years, as well as the first under the ownership of German automaker VW. The Murciélago was styled by Peruvian-born Belgian Luc Donckerwolke, Lamborghini's head of design from 1998 to 2005.[2] A roadster version of the car was introduced in 2004, followed by the updated LP 640 coupé and roadster and LP 650-4 Roadster. The most recent evolution of the model is the LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, a highly tuned version that is expected to be the last iteration of the Murciélago nameplate, before the model is replaced in the early 2012

2009 Lamborghini Reventon

2009 lamborghini reventon

Famous by its name, Lamborghini, is known for its dynamic looks, force and power of its monstrous engine, and of course by its value. This year, Lamborghini Motors has produced another monster, the Lamborghini Reventon. Reports show that the Lamborghini Reventon cost almost $1.6 million compared to the recent Lamborghini Murcielago which only cost $300, 000 MRSRP.

It was told that anyone who plans to buy the Reventon has to put down a deposit of almost what the Murcielago cost. The Lamborghini Reventon not only has more power than the recent “Lambos”, but the manufacturer also gave it an engine hood made of glass laminate that has an open vents that allows people to get a view of its massive 6.5-liter V12 engine. It produces 650 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque, talk about a monster car.

Unlike the recent models, the Lamborghini Reventon gives the driver a feel as if one was in a aircraft cockpit. It has three LCD screens for the different readouts useful to the driver, and it even looks like as if one was in a real aircraft cockpit. There is also a G-Force meter, that displays the dynamic drive force, braking, and acceleration. Unlike the other Lamborghini models, it has been said that Lamborghini will only produce 20 Reventons and eleven of the 20 Reventons will be bound in the U.S., so make sure you get one of these monsters.

With the plethora of hot metal being released at this month’s Frankfurt auto show, it’s of little surprise that stuff keeps trickling out. We can now add the 2010 Lamborghini Reventón Roadster to the list of too-hot-to-hold-onto reveals, as the first pictures of the topless, road bound cruise missile have surfaced on Autocar.com. We’ll be bringing you a full plate of info on this limited-edition Lambo next week when the show gets under way, but we can see here from these initial shots that it’s a proper, open-air follow-up to the Lamborghini Reventón coupe that debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt show.

Based on the Murciélago, but with more sinister styling, loads more carbon fiber, and a jet-fighter-inspired cockpit, fewer than 20 examples will reportedly be built, with each carrying a price tag likely well in excess of $1 million. Power will likely come from the same 641-hp, 6.5-liter V-12 found in the hardtop, with a six-speed automated manual and all-wheel drive comprising the rest of the drivetrain. Performance also should be similar, with 60 mph arriving in as little as 3.4 seconds. However, the roadster’s top speed is likely to be a bit less than the 224 mph claimed for the coupe. Inside, expect acres of Alcantara and more carbon fiber, as well as unique aviation-themed LCD instrumentation. Check back next week for the full breakdown on Sant’Agata’s latest exotic.

The close looks between the Gallardo Superleggera and the Spyder foxes even the spy photographers from distinguishing between the two. When the photos taken at the Nurburgring testing site by the spy photographer were looked at closely the features generally pointed towards the Spyder. The main reasons for this conclusion were from the indicators and the slight aerodynamic differences between the two.
The coupe version of the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera has a large rear wing which is missing in case of the Spyder as seen in the spy photographs taken as also the smaller front spoiler is the other feature of differentiation. Given these two features there would be a reduction in down force thus leading to the conclusion that the Spyder would be a lesser performer at high speeds when compared to its open top configuration.
Another feature to differentiate and recognize between the two is the larger than standard front spoiler and large rear diffuser of the Spyder. The photographer also mentioned about the Spyder making very high speeds. This could be due to the V10 engine which is a 5.2 liter capacity one and develops 570 hp. This is the same engine that is found in the coupe. The pickup should be 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 second much like the coupe, but the top speed would be lower than 202 mph of the coupe due to the aerodynamic and fabric top design of the Spyder.
By weight the Spyder should be somewhere around the 3000 pound mark and not lesser. The Superleggera is known to be of 2.954 pounds.
Expectations are that the car would be available at the Paris Motor show this fall but there are chances that if market condition does not improve the unveiling may wait a year after the coupe is unveiled at Geneva.

2011 Lamborghini Gallardo

Lamborghinis have long stood for sheer, menacing speed, usually courtesy of a monster engine. It's a solid formula, but any engineer will tell you that you eventually reach a point of diminishing returns. How, then, do you make an even more insane Lamborghini? Make it lighter.

Lamborghini first applied the "lighter is better" approach to the compact Gallardo back in 2007, aptly naming the special model the Superleggera, or "super-light." Extensive use of carbon-fiber and the deletion of such frivolities as a radio and cup holders knocked more than 200 pounds off of the curb weight, allowing the stripped-down, road-legal track car to hit 62 mph in 3.8 seconds. The lack of creature comforts didn't scare away buyers -- Lamborghini moved 618 Gallardo Superleggeras during its one-year production run.

Built on the success of the original and with lessons learned in the new, one-make Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series, Lamborghini is bringing back the Superleggera, and it's lighter and wilder than ever. The speed freaks in Sant'Agata went over the Gallardo, now in a new generation known as the LP 560-4, with a fine-tooth comb and managed to shave 38 more pounds over the first Gallardo Superleggera, dropping the curb weight to just 2954 pounds and making it the lightest Lamborghini available.

To strip 154 pounds from a standard Gallardo LP 560-4, Lamborghini engineers first turned to the original Superleggera's bag of tricks. The exterior mirrors, the new rear diffuser and side sills, the wing, the engine compartment lid and parts of the underbody are all carbon-fiber, as are the interior door panels, the transmission tunnel, the shifter surround, and the seat shells. Where the last Superleggera used polycarbonate instead of glass for the engine window, the new model uses the lightweight material for the rear and side windows as well. In all, 88 of the 154 pounds lost came from the carbon-fiber and another 28.6 pounds were lost in the 19-inch forged-aluminum wheels.

Of course, this is Lamborghini, not Lotus. They couldn't just go on a crash diet and leave it at that. No, they revamped the engine computer and wrung an extra 10 horsepower out of the 5.2-liter V-10, hence the 570 moniker. That of course refers to metric horsepower. U.S. models will have 562 horsepower available by either measure at 8000 rpm, with 398 lb-ft of torque is available at 6500 rpm.

With only 5.18 pounds for each of those ponies to carry, Lamborghini says it has knocked 0.2 seconds off its estimated 0-to-62-mph time. The Gallardo Superleggera now explodes to 62 mph in a scant 3.5 seconds, blows past 124 mph in 10.2 seconds, and tops out at 202 mph. Those numbers are conservative, because we got a standard Gallardo LP 560-4 to hit 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Not bad for a car that also lowered its C02 emissions by 20.5 percent and improved its city fuel economy by 2 mpg on automatic

We may be busy anticipating the much-awaited arrival of the Lamborghini Aventador at the Geneva Motor show, but softening the blow of time is Lamborghini’s new special edition Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore revealed at the 2011 Qatar Motor Show.

The most successful super sports car in Lamborghini’s history captures the imagination with the brutal power of its 560 hp V10 engine, the absolute grip of its permanent all-wheel drive and the razor-sharp precision of its chassis.Every kilometer in the Lamborghini Gallardo is an intense experience of explosive dynamics and absolute control. Its breathtaking performance is indicated by the 3.7 seconds it takes to reach 100 km/h and its top speed of 325 km/h.

The exterior special series features a unique two-tone finish. There the pillars, roof, engine hood and rear spoiler are painted in a pastel black that contrasts perfectly with the lower area of the body, available in a choice of five shades (Giallo Midas, Arancio Borealis, Grigio Telesto, Bianco Monocerus and Blu Caelum).

In interior also used two-tone theme, the instrument panel, seats, door panels and other elements in the passenger compartment are upholstered in black leather with contrast stitching colored to match the exterior paintwork (yellow, orange, blue or gray). The black bezel of the e-gear transmission on the center console completes the look.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Bicolore for 2011 model further enhanced exterior appearance by the 15-spoke forged alloy wheels finished in titanium gray enamel, and the gloss black finish air-intakes, front spoiler and upper section of the rear diffuser.

apable of hitting 62 mph in an amazing 3.7 seconds. The sprint to twice that speed -- 124 mph -- takes just 11.8 seconds.

The 560 portion of the car's name reflects its horsepower, while the "4" designation indicates all-wheel-drive. The "4" was likely added to the name in anticipation of the forthcoming rear-wheel-drive variant, which will likely end in "2."

The latest engine not only gained power and displacement, it also features a new "Iniezione Diretta Stratificata" direct injection system. Despite its clearly increased output, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by a staggering 18 percent. With the improved fuel efficiency the LP 560-4 is capable of 12/20 city/highway mpg.

The enlarged and clearly redesigned cooling intakes meet the demands of augmented engine. The front spoiler, positioned low between the air intakes, improves aerodynamic equilibrium at high speeds.

The redesigned four-wheel-drive system, an improved suspension design, and optimized aerodynamics all contribute an improved driving experience. A weight reduction of 44 lbs and decreased friction between the components also enhance performance.

The Gallardo LP 560-4 fulfills the not yet obligatory European pedestrian safety regulations, without compromising the look of the car.

The automated e-gear transmission has been completely redesigned for the LP 560-4. Gear change time reduced by 40 percent, and the driver may choose between five different driving and changing programs. The most performance-oriented "CORSA" setting not only affects shift speed -- it also directs the engine for maximum acceleration. The 'Thrust Mode' ensures maximum acceleration from neutral while the angle of the throttle valve and the clutch are optimized.

An optional carbon-ceramic-disc braking system makes use of eight-piston Brembo calipers up front, and four-piston calipers at he rear. Rotor size is 14.4 inches at the front and 14 inches at the rear.

Bi-Xenon headlights provide plenty of illumination at night, while LED daytime running lights give the car a more aggressive and high-tech look.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain WallpaperLamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain WallpaperLamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain WallpaperTypically, when an automaker and a watchmaker team up, it’s to spec out a special-edition watch. But Lamborghini and Blancpain have already done that. The two marques are also behind the Super Trofeo racing series, which Lamborghini claims is the fastest spec racing series on today’s circuits. The season just wrapped up at Vallelunga, where the two companies took the wraps off the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition. The special-edition Lambo is distinguished from the standard model with such unique touches as a vented engine cover and a big rear wing, along with carbon fiber parts, Skorplus wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes. A matte black finish with yellow accents further set its apart inside and out. The most interesting spec however, is the Blancpain Edition’s weight; at 2954 pounds, Sant’Agata lauds it as the lightest vehicle in Lamborghini’s roadgoing range. Couple that with the 5.2-liter V10 boosted to 570 horsepower (like the spec racers) and Lambo claims a 3.4-second sprint to 62 mph from a standstill, topping out a hair under the double-century mark. We’re on our way to Paris to get a closer look at this among the myriad other excitements making their debut later this week.
